How Sparks text reminders work.

Sparks is a relationship-memory app at sparkmy.network, operated by Post Plague Projects. Text messaging for Sparks is delivered by HELLA Intelligence on the program’s behalf. This page explains the text-message program so you know exactly what you’re agreeing to before you opt in.

What we send

If you opt in, Sparks sends you reconnect reminders(a nudge when it’s been a while since you reached out to someone you care about) and account notifications (transactional updates about your account). This is a notification program you control — we only text you about the reminders and account activity you set up. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

How you opt in

Texts are off until you turn them on. After you create a Sparks account, you opt in inside the app under Settings → Profile: you enter your mobile number and check a consent box that is unchecked by default. The exact wording shown above that box is:

“Text me reconnect reminders & account notifications at this number. By checking this box you agree to receive automated texts from Sparks; consent isn’t a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.”

This is the opt-in screen exactly as it appears in the app:

Consent is recorded with a timestamp at the moment you check the box and save. No texts are sent to anyone who has not opted in.

Frequency & cost

  • Message frequency varies based on the reminders and notifications you set up.
  • Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.

Opt out & help

Reply STOPto any message to cancel at any time — you’ll get one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or email support@sparkmy.network. You can also clear your number anytime in Settings.

Your privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used solely to deliver the messages you requested, and is shared only with our messaging provider (Twilio) strictly to transmit those messages.
